Thank you for visiting my page.  My name is Jacquelyn.  I am a Bay Area native, stay at home mom with a passion for food (particularly Dutch/Indonesian food) and gardening.  I have many fond memories growing up, of my Oma in her kitchen preparing the most wonderful Indo dishes.  My grandparents and their Indo friends would put on huge feasts (rijsttafels) where there was everything from sate to cendol.  When I was younger, I had no idea how lucky I was to be exposed to this wonderful food.  Now that I’m older, it is my goal to learn from my Oma (I have to cook WITH her, she has no recipe book) how to cook Indo food and preserve the recipes for my children.  The best way to keep our culture alive is through our food.  This blog is dedicated to my children, in hopes that they will share in my love of cooking and carry on our traditional dishes.
